Genelia has bagged the role played by Jyothika in the Hindi version of ‘Kaakkha Kaakkha’, starring John Abraham in the male lead, which was Surya in the original.
Genelia D'Souza has finally replaced Asin in the Hindi remake of Kakka Kakka. In this film, the bubbly star will pair with John Abraham. Remember John had told the producer Vipul Shah who had made London Dreams with Asin Thottumkal, to replace her at the last minute. Asin had done the Telugu version of the film 'Gharshana' directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon who did the original.
The Hindi remake directed by Nishikanth Kamath, will have Genelia and John together. The pair had worked together in David Dhawan’s Hook Ya Crook, which got shelved.
For Genelia it is a big boost, as John is one of the most saleable stars in Bollywood who has recently signed a Rs 100 Crore deal to do various endorsements. Genelia, recently saw the original Khakka Khakka, was very impressed with Jyothika’s performance in the film.
